II. Application and Tuition Fees

1. Application Fee: A non-refundable application fee of $75 is required at the time of application. This fee does not apply to tuition costs.

2. Academic Testing Fee: A non-refundable testing fee of $75 is required at the time of scheduling academic testing. This fee does not apply to tuition costs.

3. Non-refundable Registration Fee: Upon acceptance, families will be charged a $250 registration fee per student that is not included in tuition.

4. Tuition: The total tuition for the 2024-25 academic year is $7,800 per student.

Costs Included In Tuition: Tuition includes curriculum and technology fees. Families are responsible for the cost of books or curricula damaged beyond normal wear and tear, including lost items.

5. Payment Schedule: Tuition payments are due monthly, starting on July 1, 2024, and ending on May 1, 2025. Payments are collected on the first of each month.

III. Withdrawal Policy

1. Families withdrawing their student(s) at any point in the academic year are responsible for 100% of the remaining tuition cost.

Military Family Exception: The only exception to this policy is for active military families who get stationed at a different location during the academic year.

IV. Delinquent Payments

1. Late Payments: If tuition is not paid by the 5th of the month, a $100 late fee will be assessed. Families experiencing difficulties should contact the school administration to discuss possible arrangements.

2. Board Notification: If tuition remains unpaid for 20 days past the due date without arrangements, a separate $200 late fee will be assessed and a board member will personally contact the family to discuss the situation.

3. Expulsion Notice for Non-Payment: Should tuition remain unpaid 30 days after the due date without any arrangements, the family will receive an expulsion notice by certified mail, indicating the school's right to enforce payment legally.

4. Final Steps: After 45 days without payment or arrangement, the family will be notified of the student's expulsion. Re-admittance may be considered upon settling the delinquent tuition, subject to the Board's discretion.

5. Outstanding Balances: No student will begin a new school year with an outstanding tuition balance. Official documents, such as diplomas and report cards, will be withheld until all dues are cleared.

V. Financial Obligations

1. Books and Materials: Families are responsible for reimbursing the school for books or materials rendered unusable beyond normal wear and tear or lost per the discretion of the administration.

2. Other Fees: Any other school-related expenses not covered by tuition will be billed separately. Likewise, families are responsible for paying for their students' supplies.

3. Student Expulsion: if a student is expelled, all tuition is due and payable through the end of the calendar year.

4. State Reimbursement: Lux is not responsible for determining any family’s eligibility for PEP funding. Lux will work with families to provide receipts and other documentation in support of state reimbursements but does not guarantee that all funds will be reimbursed.
